WHAT IS THE NPA'S?
The National Performance Awards is a competition like no other—designed to equip aspiring performers with the skills and confidence needed for real-world auditions.
Whether you’re a dancer or a singer, this is your chance to experience a professional audition process while learning from the UK’s leading industry professionals.
You will learn choreography and songs in our masterclasses then use that material to audition.

WHAT’S IN IT FOR ME?
You’ll receive live feedback on the day, expert guidance, and invaluable tuition from leading industry professionals, heads of departments from top educational institutions, West End creatives, and from renowned Ballet companies.
We provide a safe, age-appropriate, and supportive environment, ensuring all students feel encouraged and empowered throughout the audition process.
WORKSHOP GROUPS
Throughout the day, Students train together in three workshop groups:
10–12 years
13–15 years
16–18 years
INDIVIDUAL AGE CATEGORIES
For the auditions and awards, every age is judged separately.
Only 15 applicants per individual age will be accepted — from age 10 through to age 18.
This means 10-year-olds audition against 10-year-olds
11-year-olds against 11-year-olds,
and so on, with a maximum of 15 students in each individual age category.
DANCE DAY
Dancers are auditioned separately in Ballet, Jazz/Musical Theatre and Contemporary, with 1st, 2nd and 3rd place awarded in every style, for every individual age from 10–18.
SINGING DAY
Singers perform their solo song and are judged within their individual age category, with 1st, 2nd and 3rd place awarded for every age from 10–18.
SPECIAL RECOGNITION AWARDS
Alongside our 1st, 2nd and 3rd place awards, additional awards will be presented throughout the day, recognising qualities that go beyond the final performance.

We also welcome dancers, performers, parents, and teachers to witness the audition process in action, offering a valuable opportunity to observe how students develop under real audition conditions.

Set across one weekend, the NPA's are separated into one Dance day and one singing day.
Those opting to apply for participating in both will attend the full weekend
