General Regulations

The National Performance Awards reserve the right to decline any entry where necessary in order to maintain fairness, safety, and the integrity of the competition.

All decisions made by the judging panel are final. No correspondence or discussion regarding judges’ decisions will be entered into.

The National Performance Awards comply with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable data protection laws. Please refer to our Privacy Policy on the website for further details.

Competitors must enter and perform in the correct age category. Age is determined as of the date of the competition. If a competitor’s birthday falls between registration and the event, their correct age at the time of the competition must be provided when registering.

Competitors must be in suitable health to perform. Any relevant medical conditions should be disclosed to the organisers in advance where possible. If first aid assistance is required during the event, please notify an organiser immediately.

Unsportsmanlike conduct or inappropriate behaviour from competitors, teachers, parents, or audience members will not be tolerated. The National Performance Awards reserve the right to disqualify participants or remove individuals from the event if necessary. Entry fees will not be refunded in such circumstances.

Entry fees are non-refundable. However, if a competitor is unable to attend due to medical reasons, the organisers may offer transfer to an alternative event where possible, provided advance notice and a valid medical certificate are supplied.

The National Performance Awards accept no responsibility for the loss, theft, or damage of personal belongings or valuables brought to the venue.

In the event of a fire or emergency, all attendees must follow venue safety instructions and exit the building calmly via the nearest designated exit. The assembly point will be announced at the beginning of the event.
Facilities & Housekeeping

Competitors, teachers, and parents are responsible for keeping the venue facilities, particularly changing rooms, clean and tidy. The event operates under strict venue hire times, therefore all attendees are requested to vacate the premises promptly at the end of each day.

All venues used by the National Performance Awards operate a strict no-smoking policy. This includes the use of e-cigarettes or vaping devices.

Any accidents, spillages, or damage to venue property must be reported to event organisers immediately so that appropriate action can be taken.
Audience Guidelines

Audience members may only enter or exit the performance space between performances in order to avoid disruption.

Mobile phones and electronic devices must be switched to silent mode during performances.
Child Protection & Media Policy

Photography, filming, or recording by audience members is strictly prohibited inside the performance space. Official photographers and videographers will be present to capture the event.
If you do not wish for a competitor to be photographed or filmed, please notify the event organiser in writing prior to the event.
By entering the competition, competitors and their parents/guardians acknowledge that photography and video recordings may be taken by authorised media representatives or agents for promotional and archival purposes.

All staff and volunteers working directly with young people will follow the National Performance Awards safeguarding policies. Appropriate safeguarding procedures are in place throughout the event.

By submitting an entry form, competitors and their parents/guardians confirm that they have read and agreed to the festival rules, safeguarding policies, and event regulations.
Event Information

A provisional timetable and full venue details will be distributed to participants approximately four weeks prior to the event.

The National Performance Awards reserve the right to amend schedules, venues, judges, or event formats if necessary due to unforeseen circumstances.

Prizes, scholarships, and awards are granted at the discretion of the judging panel and participating partners. The judges may choose not to award a prize if the required standard is not met.
PRIZES & AWARDS
All prizes, scholarships, and awards presented at the National Performance Awards are granted at the discretion of the judging panel and participating partners.
Judges’ decisions are final and no correspondence will be entered into regarding results or prize allocations.
Prizes may include, but are not limited to, scholarships, training opportunities, performance opportunities, merchandise, or other industry-related rewards. Specific prizes may vary between events and locations.
The National Performance Awards reserves the right to substitute, amend, or withdraw prizes where necessary due to circumstances beyond our control, including changes from partner organisations or sponsors.
Scholarships, training opportunities, and external prizes are offered directly by the relevant institution or organisation and may be subject to their own terms, conditions, audition requirements, or eligibility criteria.
The awarding of prizes does not guarantee acceptance into any institution, programme, or professional engagement.

PHOTOGRAPHIC/FILMING RELEASE
I hereby agree to the release of any images and filmography from the National performance awards Ltd to all future events.
All publicity is to obtain a positive nature.
You hereby grant to us and persons authorised by us the non-exclusive right in perpetuity to record, copy, reproduce, broadcast, transmit and perform all or part of the Material for and/or in connection with the production, exploitation, promotion and/or advertising of the Programme throughout the universe for the entire period of copyright in the Material and all extensions and renewals thereof by all means and in all media (whether now known or hereafter discovered or developed).
