Operations & Events assistant (Part-Time)
About the Role
National Performance Awards is looking for an organised, proactive and reliable Operations & Events A to support the day-to-day running of our growing organisation.
Working directly alongside Ryan Jenkins, you will play a key role in ensuring our events and business operations run efficiently, allowing the creative team to focus on delivering exceptional experiences.
This is a varied role, ideal for someone who enjoys organisation, problem-solving and creating systems that keep a busy business running smoothly.
1-2 days a week
Key Responsibilities
Administration
-
Preparing documents, forms and event paperwork.
-
General day-to-day administration.
Finance & Business Support
-
Processing payments and invoices.
-
Updating and maintaining Excel spreadsheets.
-
Assisting with business administration and reporting.
Events
-
Booking venues and coordinating logistics.
-
Liaising with venues, suppliers and event staff.
-
Preparing schedules and event documentation.
-
Supporting the delivery of National Performance Awards events.
Essential Skills & Experience
-
Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
-
Confident using a Mac.
-
Strong Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
-
Excellent written and verbal communication.
-
Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
-
Professional, friendly and approachable.
Desirable
-
Experience within events, performing arts or education.
-
Experience working with databases or CRM systems.
-
Knowledge of event administration and logistics.
Working Pattern
-
Part-time (initially one day per week, with the opportunity to increase to two days as the organisation grows).

In-person role based in London.
-
Some weekend work may be required during events.
-
Must be available for 29 & 30 August for London event
Salary - Competitive, dependent on experience.

Event Staff – National Performance Awards (Freelance)

The National Performance Awards is looking for enthusiastic, organised and reliable Event Staff to support the delivery of our upcoming National Performance Awards event in London.
This is an excellent opportunity to work behind the scenes at one of the UK's leading performing arts competitions, supporting young performers and helping deliver a professional, high-quality event.

29th & 30th August
Location: London
Contract: Freelance / Event Day
Responsibilities

Assisting with the smooth running of the competition.

Supporting competitors, parents, teachers and adjudicators.

Managing registration and participant check-in.
-
Preparing and organising event paperwork.

Helping coordinate schedules throughout the day.

Maintaining a professional and welcoming environment.

Assisting with general event logistics and problem-solving.

Working as part of the National Performance Awards team.

Freelance Videographer
Freelance Videographer
The National Performance Awards is looking for an experienced freelance videographer to film solo vocal performances during our upcoming event in London.
We're looking for someone who can produce high-quality footage in a live event environment and capture each performance professionally.
Event Date
30th August
Location: London
Responsibilities

Film solo vocal performances throughout the day.

Capture high-quality video with clear audio.
-
Work efficiently within the event schedule.

Liaise with the National Performance Awards team.

Deliver professionally edited footage following the event (timescale to be agreed).
Essential Requirements

Previous experience filming live performances or events.

Own professional camera, audio and filming equipment.

Strong attention to detail.

Reliable, organised and professional.

Ability to work independently.
Desirable

Experience filming performers in theatre or live entertainment.

Basic colour grading and audio editing skills.

Join Our Event Team
Would you like to gain valuable behind-the-scenes experience at one of the UK's leading performing arts competitions?
The National Performance Awards is looking for enthusiastic and reliable volunteers to support our London event. This is an excellent opportunity for anyone interested in performing arts, event management, arts administration or education.
You'll work alongside an experienced West End and performing arts team including Kerry Ellis and Ryan Jenkins supporting the delivery of a professional national event and gaining first-hand insight into how large-scale competitions are organised.
